Declaration in Resume — Formats and How to Write It
The declaration is a short statement at the end of an Indian CV or biodata confirming that the information is true. It is expected for government, PSU, school and many traditional private-sector applications — and optional for most corporate and IT jobs.
Where to put it
At the very end of the CV, under the heading Declaration. Below the statement, write Place and Date on the left and your signature and name on the right.
When to include it
- Government jobs, PSUs and municipal posts — yes.
- Schools and colleges — usually yes.
- Banks, hospitals, factories — often expected.
- IT, start-ups and multinational companies — not needed; skip it to save space.
Add it in CV Dost
In the CV maker, open Interests, declaration & signature, tick Add a declaration, fill place and date, and upload or draw your signature. Switch section headings to हिंदी or বাংলা to get the declaration in that language automatically.
