Resume Format in Word — Editable .doc Download
Some employers, placement agencies and HR teams ask for your resume in Word so they can add notes or reformat it. You can type your CV once in CV Dost and download it as an editable Word file — and as a PDF for everyone else.

Word vs PDF — which should you send?
Send a PDF by default. Send Word only when the job post, recruiter or agency asks for it. A Word file can look different on another computer if fonts are missing, so check it after opening.
What the Word download includes
- Your name, contact line and every section in your chosen order.
- Headings in your accent colour.
- Bullet points kept as real Word bullets.
- Indian-format personal details and declaration, if you added them.
- Note: the photo is not included in the Word file — insert it in Word if needed.

Frequently asked questions
Can I download my resume in Word format?
Yes. In the CV Dost maker, open the More menu and choose Word (.doc).
Will the Word file open on my phone?
Yes, in MS Word, WPS Office or Google Docs apps.
Why is my photo missing in the Word file?
Word does not reliably import embedded photos from web files, so it is left out. Use Insert → Pictures in Word to add it.
Is Word or PDF better for job portals?
Most portals accept both; PDF keeps your layout exactly as designed.
