Career Objective for Freshers — Examples and Generator

A career objective is the 2–3 lines at the top of a fresher resume that tell the recruiter what job you want and why you are a good fit. Most freshers write the same vague line. Here is how to write a specific one — with examples you can copy and a generator that writes one for you.

The formula

Who you are (degree / background) + one or two strong skills + the exact role you want + (optional) what you will contribute.

"B.Com graduate with Tally Prime and GST training, seeking an accounts assistant role to handle daily entries and learn statutory compliance."

Avoid these lines

  • "To work in a reputed organisation where I can utilise my skills." — says nothing specific.
  • "Seeking a challenging position…" — every recruiter has read it thousands of times.
  • Long paragraphs — keep it to 2–3 lines.
  • Using "I am…" repeatedly — start with your background instead.

Objective or summary?

Freshers use an objective (focused on the role you want). Experienced candidates use a summary (focused on what you have achieved). In the CV Dost maker, both go in the same "Profile / career objective" box, and the ✨ Suggestions button offers both types for your role.
